Nick and I will be moving to the beautiful city of Minneapolis at the new year! Nick has found a job he will love working with the public schools! I am still trying to sign on with a travel nurse company.

Most of you will think we are crazy for moving north this time of year! It is pretty crazy actually. It sounds like there is as much as 3ft on the ground right now!! Minneapolis is supposed to be an awesome city with lots of arts and culture, a great public transportation system, a growing refugee population from Somalia and Vietnam, and most importantly...

my best friend Amy and her boyfriend Kristofer! Of course we are very sad to be leaving our fmailies and friends here in Indiana. However, we are trusting the Lord that he has a plan for our future and is leading us to MN for a reason!

Dream for Darfur

My hope is that the people will be able to experience the Olympic dream as the actual torch reaches China. That Men will no longer live with the fear of death and women of rape.

We enjoyed the game day with Brenna my sister in law who is a sophomore at OSU studying environmental science and natural resources.

My new computer!!!! It is a HP we found on sale at office depot!!! I am still trying to figure it all out. It is fun uploading pics, music, and having more opportunity to connect with you my friends!

So, I am back to the blogging world after a two year break. After all of Suzin's hardwork I only postd about 5 times on the blog she created me. I am determined this time. We just bought a new lab top for me last week, and I am going to put it to good work! I hope this will help me keep in touch with all of you my blogging friends!

FUN TIMEES IN INDIANA!!!!

So, I realized today that though I have been taking care of my Dad I have mostly been on vacation for 2 1/2 months! Unbelievable! Am I a lazy bum? Not sure... But either way I am having fun! Playing games with my family hanging out with Amy, Visiting buddies in Marion, and going to Robin's wedding! Life is good! Soon, I will have to get a job and be more a part of the adult world but for now I am making the best of fun times in Indiana!

What a week!

You know how every town has a legend: "The summer of 1991" when you could litteraly fry an egg on the pavment, or "The blizered of 1983". Well for my family I think the legend will be: "The June of 2005" Because when it rained it poured!

My grandmother is getting stronger after a life threatening spring. Though she still needs almost daily visits and care. Then my Dad quits his job with no job to move to. Two days later after having a few seziures he is diagnosed with a brain tumor. Added to the stress that comes with illness we have hada car accident, and plumbing problems. We have been without water for a few days and they will have to take a jack hammer to our living room floor to fix the problem. Then, last night everything was going as well as it could and we were enjoying the end of a relaxing Father's day when my Mom reacted to her medications. Her medications had reacted to each other in an unexpected way and her her blood pressure dropped. I think last night was the scarriest experience of my life as I struggled to keep my Mom conscience as I speed along the interstates to the ER downtown. Praise God she was able to stay conscience and her BP rose agian after a few hours. It is a strang feeling to be the one who has to help two dizzy parents to the car.

Some say that after a month like this we will only remeber the good things. The ways that God blessed us with so many friends to pray with us and with His provision ofr our needs. But somehow I think that "June of 2005" Will always live in our memories with both the trials and the joys. It will sort of like a light that as we follow Christ into the future we can keep our eyes fixed on the past seeing how God was with us and brought us through "THe June of 2005". With that confidense I believe we will be able to follow Christ through any trial.

God is faithful!

Backyard Gardeners!

Is it too late in the season for a garden? I am not sure but we are going to try any way. Today my Dad and I went to Lowes and bought plants: 4 tomato, 3 green peper, 1 red peper, 1 zuccini, and 1 parsley. The whole Walsman gang minus Amy and Rob came over to dig the garden yesterday! It was fun! So if you like home grown veggies come on over and I'll hook you up in a couple weeks!

IWU reunion

This weekend I went up to Marion to visit with Kim Veenkant and ended up having a huge IWU reunion! I saw lot of friends including: Kim, Nate, David, Michelle, Nick , Danny V., Mae, Jenna Lee, Kristen, Katie, Tim, and Mel. Laying in the grass in the CM field, bonfires at he hoshtetler's home, and church at brookhaven made the weekend the highlight of my week! Thanks for being such good friends, IWU buddies.

Back home in Indiana

I arrived back in Indianapolis on Thursday night after recieving the news of my Dad's brain tumor. It has been really nice to be home. I am my Dad's officail driver and nurse! I knew my education would come in handy at some point.
Today my Dad and I went to the BMV and I came to a strange realization. Marion, though most of the time not even comparable with Indianapolis, has the only friendly drivers branch I have ever been to.
Tommarow I will go with my parents to talk to the surgeon. THey want me to ask good questions I hope my education won't disappoint us.
Thanks to all of my friends who have e-mailed or called. It is a blessing to have you as friends.

Arab Church

Today I attened an Arab Church here in Brussels. It was a lot of fun to listen to people praise God in many diffrent languages. Then we went to a Syrian home for an evening of sharing about God. I shared my testimony and heard some of the diffrent Arabs also share theirs. God is so good. The story of God's interaction in my life is very similar to my new friend Gilbert from Iraq. God is opening my eyes in a big way. Allah Akabar! God is great!

Brussels

I am in Belgium this week. I arrived in the evening of the 18th and will leave Friday the 27th. I am working with an old friend of my Dad's who is the pastor of an Arab church.
Here is an example of Arab culture:
Ihsak informed me last night that he would pick me up at 10am. It is now 12:30 and I am still waiting. To keep me company I have a good book (Rich Christians in an age of HUnger). I don't mind waiting too much it is more enjoyable than a busy life.
Yesterday we explored the down town area. Th most famous part of the city is a fountain of a boy peeing. All the tourists take pictures with it and they even sell satues of it at teh tourist shops. I am told that on special occasions they fill it with beer!

Traveling Europe

I am in the Chezc Republic! They have the thrid hardest language for an american to learn in the world.
My travels began after graduation on April 30. Our team of 6 traveled to Central Asia where we had some hardcore adventures and really heard from the sprit of God. We ended our time with a couple days of exploring Vienna. It is a beautiful city. The team all flew out yesterday. I am spending 4 extra days with the Wrights relaxing, gardening, and traveling to Checz where I am right now. On May 18 I will take the train to Brussels Belgium for more adventures! God is doing good things in Central Asia and Europe. It is a blessing to be a part of the body of Christ.

The remedy for a difficult day?

Playing in the rain! I went for a run today to deal with stress and it soon began to rain. And then to pour! I ran to Jo's house and we splashed, jumped, and ran! Susan joined for more of the same. A warm spring rain washes away a load of anxiety. Praise the Lord! He knows our needs
